3/7/2009 So in my tradition of updating the blog two months after the kids' actual birthday, it's time to tell you all that Abby turned four on January 7th!!! It's hard to believe my baby is four years old. Time really does fly quickly. She is a beautiful girl, both inside and out. She loves to sing and dance, and loves to do gymnastics in the living room. She also has a really great memory and I'm convinced she could learn to read if I only knew how to teach her! For her party, we had a swimming party at the athletic center, which was great because all the kids got to dig out their swimsuits in the middle of January. It was still a little cold in the water, as you can tell from Abby's blue lips in the second picture. In addition, we also had the usual festivities at our house and Grandmama and Grandaddy's. 
Happy Birthday, Abby Girl! 11/20/2008 This is the joke Abby told me at bedtime tonight: Abby: "Knock, knock" Me: "Who's there?" Abby: "Why did the cup spill the chocolate milk?" Me: "Why?" Abby: "Because somebody knocked it over." Insert raucous laughter here. I don't get it either, but she sure thought it was funny. 9/9/2008 It seems Abby has been a little neglected in the blog lately. So, here is a little bit of of what she has been up to recently. She took a ballet and tap dance class this summer. She's pretty good at it, too. Anyway, the last day of class they opened the room up so that parents could come in and watch them dance. Of course I didn't have a camera with me. So I was going to run up to CVS and grab a disposable camera. But I called Steve and he convinced me to go home and get the real camera and the video camera since he was out of town and was going to miss it. I had just enough time to get home and back before her dance started. I started video taping. I got about ten seconds of video before the camera died. So, no problem, I have the camera, I will just take pictures. Got one good picture before the battery on that camera died, too. Here is the one picture I have of Abby doing ballet. We may have to sign her up for another class just so I can take some pictures. 
7/17/2008This is what the 3 1/2 year old came down wearing this morning. Luckily she had to get dressed for dance class anyway, so I didn't have to tell her it was awful. 
1/7/2008Our little princess celebrated her 3rd birthday with none other than Cinderella herself (and 15 of her other close friends). Some of her favorite presents were Barbie dolls, Disney princess dress-up clothes, and a pair of roller skates.
